Acu - Thin Diet
Stage one is the strictest and the variety of foods is the smallest. Basically your menu consists of egg substitutes, low fat cheese, meat and fish and a lot of vegetables. There is no bread, potatoes, pasta, rice or any fruit during this first week. This is the time where your body will go through with draw all from carbohydrates. Most patients only stay on this stage for one week and the move onto stage 2.
Stage 2 reintroduces some new foods like, low glycemic index fresh fruits, light fruit yogurt / plain low fat yogurt and low fat milk. The fruits include cherries, apples, grapefruit, pears, grapes, berries, and peaches. You will stay on this menu for one week and you may have up to three fruits a day. However, you will introduce only 3 new fruits this week. You may also have 25 small nuts or a tbs of stage 2. You may stay on this stage from 1-2 weeks depending on the quantity of weight you wish to lose..
Stage three is much more liberal in terms of a wider variety of choices. You may now introduce additional low glycemic index fresh fruits. You may also add some other healthy carbs, whole grain bread, whole grain rice, whole grain pasta, and sweet potatoes to your diet. Weight loss during stage 3 is slower than stage 1 or 2 at any time.
